The EMBA Legacy Fund was established by the EMBA Class of 1994 to support activities that foster leadership, excellence and innovation, enabling the Smith EMBA program to stay at the forefront of business education.
By supporting the EMBA Legacy Fund, we invest in the next generation of Canada's leaders.
What did the Fund do this year?
The fund currently has less than $20,000 and generates less that $800 in interest per year.
Our class did not benefit from the fund as all interest is re-invested to grow the fund.
In future years, more classes will contribute to grow the fund and sufficient interest will be generated to make an impact.

About the Legacy fund
The proposed structure of the legacy fund is comprised of an endowment fund and an expendable fund.
Our class can start to see an impact by 2022.
The fund is directed by a steering committee comprised of all the classes that have donated to the fund. Each class gets one vote per $10,000 pledged.
The fund will be used to improve the EMBA experience of future students.
Imagine the change you want to make to the EMBA program and pledge to make a difference. This fund allows us to improve the experience of the EMBA program by bringing forward suggestions that foster leadership, excellence, and innovation in future students. Funded projects will vary from special guest lecturers, bursaries, improvements to the program, and improvements to the students experience. The fund is managed by a committee comprised of representative from each year that pledges to the fund. The committee will review suggestions for the use of the fund and will allocate available funds to make the biggest impact.
The legacy fund us designed to be flexible to accommodate the changing needs of the EMBA program.
The value of our degree is tied to the experience of future EMBA students. Let's invest in the future, let's leave our legacy.
